As of February 15th, 2021, Dr. Putnam has been named the inaugural Associate Dean for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the College of Engineering. In this three-year position, he will oversee all activities in the college related to entrepreneurship and technology transfer and implement the college’s mission to elevate its national stature as a center for innovation and commercialization.
