NSF I-Corps Grant – 7/21/2020

Yehou Gnopo and Stephanie Curley, along with John Brenner from Rheonix, were awarded the National Science Foundation’s Innovation-Corps (I-Corps) Grant! I-Corps is a 7 week program where Yehou (as entrepreneurial lead) and Stephanie (as technical lead) will interview over 100 people to learn how to take their OMV technology to market! John Brenner, as the team’s industrial mentor, will be guiding them along the way. Congratulations on the award!

Putnam Lab Attends BMES Annual Meeting in Philadelphia

The BMES Annual Meeting was held October 17-19 in Philadelphia this year, and the Putnam Lab was there! Sarah Snyder presented her work on a “Quinidine-Polymer Conjugate to Reverse P-Glycoprotein Mediated Drug Efflux in Multidrug Resistant Cancers.” In addition to attending the conference (where we learned a lot!!), Putnam Lab also experienced much of Philly, including the Eastern State Penitentiary, the Philadelphia Magic Gardens, and Independence Hall! Professor Putnam on Academic Entrepreneurship Panel

The program for A.D. White Professors-at-Large presented a public seminar and panel discussion about Academic Entrepreneurship. The talk “Academic Entrepreneurship: Creating Impact Beyond Publishing Papers” was given by Stephen Quake, Ph.D. from Stanford University. Professor Putnam was invited to join the panel discussion with Dr. Quake and Andrea Ippolito, lecturer in Engineering Management at Cornell University. The panel was moderated by David Erickson, Ph.D, from Cornell Biomedical Engineering.
